Is it a camera or sorcery?

Have you been watching all the amazing scenes on YT that made you think, “How’d they get that shot? There’s no way that’s a drone.”

Chances are pretty good it was done with an Insta360.

We decided to go for it and buy one ahead of our trip south later this summer. I have no idea what sorcery these things are made of but… Oh my gosh, it is the trippiest, coolest experience to see your recordings from all angles. Even if you’re only walking around a room.

So, we can’t wait to get this thing under water (NOT in Maine), the bow of our boat, and our dodger, where we will be able to get ocean views, me making faces at Bob (just kidding), and our sails with one camera! And all without a selfie stick making regular cameos in our videos.

We haven’t bought all the extras yet, like the extra long stick or the underwater case (for deeper dives) since we aren’t on our boat or in crystal clear waters yet. We’ll get there eventually, but for now we are still in the “slap our own faces because it’s so COOL” stage of purchase.

One thing we have noticed is that it gets hot pretty fast, so we need to figure out whether that’s normal or not or just an initial breaking in sort of thing. Buuuut, if you were thinking about buying one on Amazon anyway, please consider using our Amazon affiliate link =)
